Query Library Action Learning Sets
Action learning is a method of collaborative learning where a group of learners (an ‘action learning set’) meet to reflect on real work issues. Action learning can enhance the way in which people learn, drawing on actual practice, and using the experience of members working together to apply new ideas to achieve a common goal.
PRIMIS+ provides opportunities for action learning for PCT staff running our query libraries in general practice. Over a series of three workshop sessions, members meet to discuss the rationale of the query library, share ideas on how to engage practice staff in its use, compare their experience of running the queries in practice and relate the data outputs to information management issues in general practice.
The action learning sets are facilitated by a PRIMIS+ Learning Consultant. Currently, PCT staff can participate in action learning sets based on the following query libraries:
