This query library is available by registering on the PRIMIS+ Profile Centre. You can then find the library by clicking the Download CHART Toolkit & Libraries link on the 'Your Services' page.
The main focus of these queries is heroin dependence: it is the only one of the illegal drugs to have prescription substitutes available and therefore to bring the users into contact with primary care.
The Library enables practices to examine their recording and quality of care for this group of people; for example, testing for blood-borne virus infection and Hepatitis B immunisation. The audit addresses, wherever possible, the criteria included in the National Enhanced Service specification.
Practices will be able to share and compare anonymised data with other practices across the country by submitting their results to CHART Online. Practices can upload data to CHART Online in the same way as for the IM&T DES and a separate Data Collection Agreement for is available for viewing this set of data.
A podcast is also available that describes the areas of clinical interest and explains why PRIMIS+ have chosen to look at this specific clinical area. You can find a link to the podcast in the Heroin Misuse section of the PRIMIS+ Profile Centre.
