MIQUEST
MIQUEST stands for Morbidity Information Query and Export Syntax
MIQUEST is software for collecting data from general practice(GP) computer systems. It is a tool to collect data, based around a query language, incorporating security and confidentiality safeguards.
For a GP clinical system to be able to run MIQUEST queries, it must have a module known as an ‘HQL interpreter' (MIQUEST interpreter) developed specifically for that clinical system by the system supplier. A requirement for GP clinical systems to incorporate a MIQUEST interpreter was introduced under the ‘Requirements for Accreditation for General Medical Practice Computer Systems, version RFA99' in 1996.
