Delivered through a combination of workshop sessions (five in total), e-learning and assessment, the award consists of the following five units:

• Managing the Patient Health Record in General Practice

• The Language of Health

• Health Information: Confidentiality, Security and Access

• Data Extraction in General Practice

• Analysing and Interpreting General Practice Clinical Data

Costing £75, the award takes a maximum of four months to complete with ‘fast track’ options available to those who have already completed parts of the curriculum. The fee covers essential registration and administration charges while the course itself is funded by The NHS Information Centre for health and social care, sponsors of PRIMIS+.
